We’re two stops in, one big stop to go in the first day of the Washington Redskins’ 80th Anniversary Thank You Tour today in Winchester, Va.
A collection of former Redskins’ greats and current team officials — as well as the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders — received a warm welcome our first two stops of the day in the Winchester Rotary Club Luncheon and at NW Works, Inc., a great facility that provides training and employement to adult individuals who typically would not have the opportunity to work.
Speaking at the first two events today in Winchester were Redskins’ general manager Bruce Allen, as well as Redskins greats Fred Dean, Mark Moseley and Dexter Manley.
Next up on the list? A community rally at at Handley High School’s football stadium, an event that is free and open to the public.
